Located on
the Upper stardrive and lower stardrive sections are the Agamemnon’s auxilliary
control centers, or more commonly referred to as the battle bridges.
It's primary purpose is to allow the crew to control the ship from a safe
location inside the ship, should the main bridge suffer heavy damage or
to be used in multi vector assult attacks. This Battle Bridge design
is exactly the same layout as the Main Bridge for ease of use.
The battle
bridge's primary purpose is to be used in combat situations. As such,
it is equipped mostly with controls and stations dedicated to defense,
combat, and emergency operations. You won't find many of the
science stations here that the bridge has, but more tactical and engineering
stations. The bridge features advanced target and threat analysis, damage
control,
as well as fleet communications.
The battle bridges
also has direct access to the secondary computer cores, allowing it dedicated
access to all of the section's functions. The Battle Bridge incorporates
the same dedicated computer core access, life support, and system redundancies
that are available on the Main Bridge. In addition however, the Battle
Bridge features a dedicated Intertial Dampening Field (IDF) generator and
associated artificial gravity generator to protect the officers here from
unexpected ship movement during combat.
